PROGRAMS
HUSTLE UP
Art of Hustle is a 6 week program available to students in the fall and spring nationwide. Students meet twice a week virtually to participate in service-learning development programs which are devised to develop students' interest in community building, enhance soft and social skills, and introduce them to STEM/Arts careers.
"Programs like the Hustlers Guild help prepare more youth of color to enter STEAM disciplines and thrive there. By supporting the Hustlers Guild, we will be making a lifelong difference in the lives of students and families."
Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC)
Don’t Sweat the Tech
Don’t Sweat the Tech is an effort to provide technology and digital literacy to youth and families. To date, The Hustlers Guild has provided over 400 devices to students and families across the nation, including tablets, devices, and video cameras to young people in urban and rural areas across the nation.
Grant us the serenity to stay true to ourselves, dedicated to our talents, and provide resources to our neighborhoods and communities.
The Hustlers Guild Prayer
"Seeing the enjoyment on these kids faces, who otherwise would have never thought about producing a movie, was one of the most gratifying feelings I've ever had!"
Retired NBA Champion and Entrepreneur, Matt Barnes
WHY OUR WORK MATTERS
FINANCIAL EQUITY
ELIMINATING GENERATIONAL POVERTY BY BUILDING PIPELINES TO EDUCATIONAL AND WORKFORCE OPPORTUNITIES.
Closing the
School-to-Prison pipeline
CLOSING THE SCHOOL-TO-PRISON PIPELINE BY EXPOSING YOUTH TO CAREERS THAT WILL LEAD TO BETTER LIFE OUTCOMES.
DIVERSIFYING STE(A)M CAREERS
BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF BLACK AND BROWN PEOPLE ENTERING THE STEM RELATED CAREERS, WE WILL NOT ONLY INCREASE DIVERSITY BUT WILL ASSIST IN COMPANIES FINDING ROBUST TALENT FOR THEIR WORKFORCE.
THE INSPIRATION
Individual members of The Hustlers Guild have been active in our respective communities for years. The organization was formed because we believed our collective voice would garner a larger social impact than continuing independently. In addition, HG trains and hosts professional development seminars for teachers and administrators on the importance of integrating a diverse and inclusive curriculum.
